Imagine a frail, weakened mind, body or spirit, wandering around aimlessly for lack of motivation. Boredom, perhaps. Monotony, most likely. Cure: the desire to create something, anything, make it from scratch. Result: acting on that desire and offering a brilliant piece of architecture that is pleasing to think about owning, touring, decorating OR architecture that feels luxurious because it exudes the perfect exterior and interior layout conducive to satisfaction-which makes the owner, renter, tourist, observer comfortable OR architecture that appeals to the senses. The type of design evokes a balance like Feng Shui does for the soul, so does balanced-living the architect constructs for the reward both financial and psychological, for example.
Architecture, the creation of something that will replace boredom definitely veer away from monotonous and offer that frail, once-weakened mind, body or spirit an avenue of excitement ! If that's not therapy for the one who feels blah (I hate the word depressed--like we are always impressed and the world is forever gentle), then I will try and offer something else in tying architecture, growth and improvement for the Mind, Body and Spirit together . . .
