| | The magnificent ruins of the palace was once one of the principal royal residences in Northern Europe and was the birthplace of both Mary, Queen of Scots and her father James V of Scotland.
A royal manor house probably existed from the time of King David I (1124 – 1153). The manor was destroyed ... read more @ www.aandwTRAVEL.com

in order for the structure to withstand natural catasrophe; but more importantly it is what the foundation is made of that keeps it strong is what I am referring to. With every building mortar and care and steel or glass or other material is used to build upwards from, the same goes for development of a person's web presence. It starts with a foundation compiled of trial and error that the latter was modified to withstand even more due to failure the first time. Web presence, if to be taken seriously, must be presented with accreditation and this comes with valuable resources that are found and used on the web to promote excellence in whatever talent presenting tries to present. I have been building many levels in the arena of communicative awareness by structuring a website that connects the Mind, Body and Spirit through its various bridges. These bridges include the brain, the heart, the imagination, the psyche, thoughts, ideas, cognitive restraints, religious indoctrinations, egoic shackles, and harnessed passions. I find it very important to authenticate what I do by sending you to a place which shows the most recent projects I am involved in now. It is better than a newsletter because it is web-based; a foundation nurtured by many visitors and tons of comments ! I look forward to being contacted by you.

Imagine a frail, weakened mind, body or spirit, wandering around aimlessly for lack of motivation. Boredom, perhaps. Monotony, most likely. Cure: the desire to create something, anything, make it from scratch. Result: acting on that desire and offering a brilliant piece of architecture that is pleasing to think about owning, touring, decorating OR architecture that feels luxurious because it exudes the perfect exterior and interior layout conducive to satisfaction-which makes the owner, renter, tourist, observer comfortable OR architecture that appeals to the senses. The type of design evokes a balance like Feng Shui does for the soul, so does balanced-living the architect constructs for the reward both financial and psychological, for example. Architecture, the creation of something that will replace boredom definitely veer away from monotonous and offer that frail, once-weakened mind, body or spirit an avenue of excitement ! If that's not therapy for the one who feels blah (I hate the word depressed--like we are always impressed and the world is forever gentle), then I will try and offer something else in tying architecture, growth and improvement for the Mind, Body and Spirit together . . .

Hi, Although, we do not know much about modern architecture and styles, we love ancient Greek designs - plenty of columns and space. If you are an architect could you please advise why so few buildings are built nowadays in classical style? ... and why so many skyscrapers similar to our group logo? I know that it is difficult to imagine a shiny, glassy skyscraper with Doric style columns on to ... however it would be so nice to see classic Greek style coming back to life. Perhaps some of you would like to design some nice brand new building and combine old ... lets say columns, atrium with glass and fountains? What do you think? Looking for inspiration? Go to our web site ... perhaps we will see some nice new - old building or theatre inspired by this article? www.aandwdesign.co.uk

Link: http://www.skyscraperpage.com/A wonderful web-project by a Canadian guy Dylan Leblanc, started at the turn of the millenium. It contains a vast database of buildings around the world, as well as to scale diagrams, as they are called - an elevation view - accurate visual representation. It is an international group effort of enthusiasts. Both information and diagrams are updated by the participants. You can call it a wikipedia of buildings - except the information is verifiable :)
